JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Preliminary data shows youth hunters showed up in droves for Missouri's late youth portion of the 2020 deer hunting season.
From November 27 through the 29, youth hunters took in 3,899 deer, which is nearly double last year's total.
The Missouri Department of Conservation event says this is the highest total on record for the late youth portion. They believe great weather contributed had the biggest effect on this year's total.
